RATNA GHOSH is James McGill Professor and William C. Macdonald Professor of Education at McGill University where she was Dean of Education. She was featured in Time Magazine, Canadian Edition, October 13, 2003, in an article on “Canada’s Best in Education”.  Her work in Education and Diversity has won her honours such as the Order of Canada and the Order of Quebec.  She is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) (Trieste, Italy). Her latest books are Redefining Multicultural Education (3rd edition with Mariusz Galczyinski, 2014) and Education and the Politics of Difference (with Ali Abdi, 2013). She was President of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute and is a past President of the American Comparative and International Education Society (CIES).

Her current research is in Education’s role in preventing Radicalization and she has recently been awarded an Insight Grant from SSHRC on Countering Religious Extremism through Education in Multicultural Canada. She has participated in events related to Education and Security at the international level.
