The fine line between 'sexting' & child pornography

PREVNet researchers Dr. Andrea Slane and Professor Wayne MacKay comment on sexting, child pornography and Nova Scotia's new cyber safety law. Prof. MaKay tells CBC News that the great majority of young people have no idea that their sexting is technically child pornography. Dr. Andrea Slane is against using child pornography law in situations where peers target one another in this way, unless there is clearly a sexual exploitation aspect to the creation or distribution of the images.
