Wynford Character Development Program
PREVNet is working with Wynford Motivation Works to disseminate evidence-based knowledge to reduce bullying through a FREE school-based prevention program that focuses on positive youth development. Together, we have created a unique teaching tool, the Quazar Positive Behaviour Recognition Program. This program supports and complements the Toronto District School Board’s BUILD CHARACTER, BUILD SUCCESS mandated initiative, and is appropriate for schools across Canada. The Quazar Positive Behaviour Recognition Program has been shown to decrease victimization and improve children’s healthy relations and their willingness to support other students.
Quazar instills the importance of ten important character traits so students, especially in the primary grades, can learn to understand and respect one another and create healthier relationships: Respect, Responsibility, Empathy, Kindness and caring, Teamwork, Fairness, Honesty, Co-operation, Integrity, and Perseverance.
