Schools across the country can now register for the 30 Day Challenge to prevent bullying.
The 30 Day Challenge was developed by MyHealth Magazine and PREVNet. It delivers effective bullying prevention strategies and materials for Grades 6 to 12 students through a series of brief online and classroom activities over a period of 30 days. The program is intended primarily for students and educators, but parents can also participate by registering for MyHealth Magazine. They will have access to both the student and educator program materials as well as materials specifically developed for parents.
MyHealth Magazine is an on-line health and wellness program for young people, educators and parents and has been piloted or used in over a thousand schools in North America. The on-line magazine is directed by Dr. Santor at the University of Ottawa and Dr. Bagnell at the IWK Health Centre, who have worked with provincial, state, and national stakeholders in both Canada and the United States.
The magazine is delivered through a series of interactive, online resources providing users with access to high quality, engaging health and mental health information that is updated each and every week. Using MyHealth Magazine’s e-Learning modules for youth, educators and parents, PREVNet is facilitating the magazine’s mission of health and mental health literacy by providing evidence-based knowledge, strategies and tools to prevent violence and promote healthy relationships.
