Depuis 2011, Marie-Hélène Véronneau est professeure au Département de psychologie de l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Affiliée à la section « psychologie en éducation », elle y a établi et dirige le Laboratoire d'études sur les parcours scolaires et les influences sociales (LÉPSIS). Ses recherches portent sur les expériences sociales des jeunes en milieu scolaire, notamment avec les pairs, parents et enseignants, et sur les liens entre la santé mentale et la réussite éducative. Ses population d’intérêt sont les adolescents et les jeunes adultes. Intéressées par les facteurs de risque et de protection, elle a recours à des modèles quantitatifs longitudinaux sophistiqués afin d’étudier le développement humain selon une perspective développementale. Ses recherches ont entre autres été financées le Conseil de recherche en sciences humaines du Canada (CRSH), les Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture et Santé (FRQSC, FRQS) et les National Institutes of Health (NIH). Marie-Hélène Véronneau a fait partie du comité exécutif de la Society for Prevention Research (SPR) et de la Société Québécoise pour la Recherche en Psychologie (SQRP).
Since 2011, Marie-Hélène Véronneau is a professor at the Department of psychology, Université du Québec à Montréal. Affiliated to "Educational Psychology" section, she has established and is the director of the Educational Pathways and Social Influences Laboratory (LÉPSIS). Her research focuses on youth social experiences on the school setting, including those with peers, parents and teachers, and on the links between mental health and educational success. Her populations or interests are adolescents and young adults. With an interest in risk and protective factors, she uses sophisticated longitudinal quantitative models to study human development from a developmental perspective. Her research has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Québec Research Funds - Society and Culture and Health (FRQSC, FRQS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Marie-Hélène Véronneau has been on the board of directors of the Society for Prevention Research (SPR) and the Société Québécoise pour la Recherche en Psychologie (SQRP).
