Professor, Psychology Department

Dr. Moretti’s research focuses on sex, gender and aggression. She views aggression within a social-relational context and emphasize the importance of attachment as a determinant of healthy development across the life span. Dr. Moretti is particularly interested in the developmental turning points, such as the transition from childhood to adolescence and from adolescence to young adulthood, in relation to the emergence of self-regulatory competence. She has served as a member of numerous government panels and committees including the Conduct Disorder Experts Panel and the Child and Youth Mental Health Plan External Advisory Committee for the Ministry of Family and Child Development in British Columbia.
