Dr. Tracy Vaillancourt Q&A: Why some victims become bullies

University of Ottawa researchers Tracy Vaillancourt and John Haltigan have recently completed a study of 695 children in Southern Ontario from Grade 5 until high school, examining the trajectories of those who bully and those who are bullied. Through their research, they discovered that despite the popular perception that those who bully will eventually become the bullied, the reality is that those who are bullied are more likely to go on to bully others.
