PREVNet contributes to a global bullying prevention forum September 16 - 19

PREVNet Scientific Co-Director, Dr. Debra Pepler and Researcher, Dr. Kevin Runions will discuss children’s social development and the link to bullying prevention in a worldwide forum in September.

The Friendly Schools Global Forum will bring together many of the world’s experts on bullying prevention. The sessions, to be held September 16, 19 and 26, will live stream over YouTube as mass webinars in an interactive Q & A style. The Forum is designed to help teachers create friendlier and more cohesive schools with an overall theme of “What works, what doesn’t, and what’s promising?”

Dr. Runions will join other international researchers on September 16 in a session entitled “Learning How to Be Friends”. On September 19, Dr. Pepler will be among the experts discussing “Helping Children to Build Relationships and Reduce Bullying”. All sessions start at 5:00 pm EDT and last for one hour.

The Friendly Schools Global Forum is free, and is open to everyone. For more information about the sessions, and to register, please visit https://www.globaleducationconference.org/events/friendly-schools-global-forum?xg_source=activity.
