Alexa Martin-Storey is an assistant professor in the psychoeducation department at the Université de Sherbrooke. She received her PhD from Concordia University in psychology, and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellow at the Population Research Center of the University of Texas at Austin. She is interested in how victimization accounts for mental health disparities among stigmatized populations, including sexual minority and overweight youth. She is currently developing a behavioural evaluation of teacher’s responses to homophobic and gender non-conformity based bullying in the classroom.
