Barry H. Schneider has been on the faculty of the School of Psychology, University of Ottawa, since 1981. His research focuses on children’s friendships and peer relations, with special interest on the friendships of children demonstrating problematic aggression. He is also interested in cultural differences in interpersonal relationships. Current projects include longitudinal studies of aggressive behaviours across school transitions (pre-school to elementary school, elementary school to middle school) in Italy. His recent books include Conduites agressives chez les enfants : Perspectives développementales et psychosciales (Schneider, Normand, Alles-Jardel, Provost & Tarabulsy, Eds, 2009) and Cultural dimensions of children’s peer relations (Chen, French & Schneider, Eds., 2006).
