Marie-Claude Geoffroy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University and a Principal Investigator for the McGill Group for Suicide Studies. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Montreal (Clinical Psychology) and completed 3-year post-doctoral training in Psychiatric Epidemiology at University College London. Dr. Geoffroy's research aims to understand and prevent suicide in the general population, with a particular focus on the links between bullying and suicidal risk.
Dr. Geoffroy is currently funded by Fonds de recherche du Québec en santé. She is also a clinical psychologist for the Depressive and Suicide Disorders Program at Douglas Mental Health University Institute, a superspecialized service for youth who suffer for major depressive disorder.
