Michel Janosz is a Full Professor at Université de Montréal, director of the School of psychoeducation and the School Environment Research Group (SERG). From 2002 to 2010, he led an interuniversity team mandated to evaluate the New Approach, New Solutions program, a Quebec initiative to prevent school dropout in disadvantaged areas. Professor Janosz’ areas of interest are the causes and prevention of school dropout and school violence, and, more recently, large scale implementation of best practices. In the last decade, he has authored or co-authored more than a hundred scientific publications and reports. He has also created the Questionnaire sur l’environnement socioéducatif (QES) and the Trousse d’évaluation pour décrocheurs potentiels (TEDP).
