Stéphane Cantin is an associate professor at the school of psychoeducation, University of Montreal. His research interests concern the role of friendships and difficult peer relationships (i.e., peer rejection and victimization) in adolescent social and emotional development. Currently, the aim of his research activities is to gain a better understanding of how friends’ characteristics and social experiences within the peer group interact with students’ characteristics (i.e., aggression, depression, school engagement) to explain the development of school adjustment problems over time.
