Wendy L. G. Hoglund, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Developmental Science at the University of Alberta. Wendy conducts basic and applied developmental research examining socio-cultural influences (e.g., peer relationships, relationships with teachers, classroom quality) of children’s social-emotional development (aggressive behaviours, symptoms of depression and anxiety) and academic functioning (engagement, achievement). Her research focuses specifically on low-income, ethnically diverse children during middle childhood and early adolescence.
