Victoria Talwar is a Professor and Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Forensic Developmental Psychology in the Dept. of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University. Currently, she has been conducting research on children’s social-emotional development (i.e. children’s cheating, lying, cyberbullying and empathy) and its relation to the social-familial (i.e. parenting, community, peers, and cultural/religious beliefs) factors that contribute to children’s maladaptive behaviour and moral behavior. She also does research on how to interview children to ensure the accuracy and veracity of their reports.
