This tipsheet was prepared by Professor Kharoll-Ann Souffrant (Université de Saint-Boniface). It outlines the social and structural contexts that contribute to Black youths' risk of experiencing teen dating violence (TDV), and barriers to support. It describes strengths-based and culturally affirming practices that educators, service providers, and parents/caregivers can use to support Black youth who experience TDV.
