Research suggests that open and honest communication between teens and their parents/caregivers about healthy relationships can help reduce their risk of experiencing dating violence. But parents don't always feel knowledgeable about these topics or comfortable discussing them with their kids. While there are programs and educational resources to support parents in this area, it can be challenging to access these supports while balancing the daily demands of parenting, work, and other obligations.
