Pride is a crucial celebration that allows us to celebrate the diverse 2SLGBTQIA+ community and continue advocating for safety. This year, PREVNet developed a month-long educational social media series for educators, researchers, and youth to highlight the importance of Pride. 

Week 1 discussed the rich history of pride, honouring the efforts of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and allies in Canada who bravely advocated for the rights and freedoms we have today. Week 2 highlighted the diverse identities in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community by highlighting underrepresented identities and delving deeper into the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym. For week 3, we explored the importance of recognizing the unique experiences and identities within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community by taking an intersectional approach to advocacy. Lastly, for week 4 we discussed the ways we can celebrate pride and support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community all year-round.
