As Canada's only national public foundation that helps women and girls reach their full economic and social potential, we believe that Canada will reach its true potential when women and girls can reach theirs. Through our work, women and girls will be empowered to live without limits: to become economically independent, to be free from violence and to be full contributors to society. This will result in a safer, stronger and more prosperous society for all of us.

We have recently launched a Girls' Fund which will fund programs for girls, aged 9 to 13, to instill them with the strength and confidence they need to reach their potential as adolescents and adults. We support development of the most effective models in girl-focused programming, a national network of organizations working with girls, and the advancement of a girls agenda.
